The term "library" comes from the Latin "liber" (book) and "librarium" (container for books). Libraries offer quiet study areas, group collaboration spaces, and public access to electronic resources like computers and the internet, especially in suburban and rural areas. In Salboni, a suburban town, the design challenge for a new library was to create a space not only for books but also for hosting cultural events like Rabindra Jayanti and Basanta Utsav.

This CSR initiative, with limited resources, required a cost-effective and functional approach. The design focused on simplicity and practicality, optimizing the solar path and wind direction to create a positive, vibrant space. The library was designed to reduce construction and maintenance costs while reflecting the local blend of heritage and modernity. The final outcome was a space that encourages both study and community engagement, meeting the social and cultural needs of the town.
