Haldia Development Authority proposed a small football stadium on a existing playground of Mahishadal suburb for the development of the youth with amenities. 

 

We envisioned a space enclosed with exposed brick and polished concrete to showcase the contrast of the structure. The stadium will have two equipped dressing rooms for players, medical rooms, administration area, canteen and two multipurpose halls. The boundary walls are treated as a part of the facade with a series of columns standing in a linear pattern with brick jaalis in between. It was roofed by a large cover which shelters and shadows, producing a pleasant ambiance. The proposal is designed to appease the spaces between interior and exterior. The attention to these intermediate spaces is therefore an inseparable part of the design.
