The project was to design a HIG housing for the government residents in the heart of Kolkata. The project aimed for a sustainable, eco-friendly, verdant living for the people, avoiding daily crowd, designing a well interactive serene lifestyle. The main idea was to incorporate green spaces for living in the form of the courtyard, terrace, roof, balcony etc.

 

A community market was proposed to enhance interactions at different levels where's aim was to retrospect the old Bengal tradition in the strong urban context, hence, the design was intended to be vernacular in the course of its elements and texture.
